A mistrial was declared on Thursday in the Britney Spears driving without a license case..Hollywood (ChattahBox) - A mistrial was declared on Thursday in the Britney Spears driving without a license case.

Britney Spears was facing a misdemeanor for driving without a license in the state of California.
The jury was deadlocked though 10-2 in favor of the singer being deemed innocent.
Judge James A. Steele stated that “The jury is hopelessly deadlocked, and I declare this a mistrial.”

The case was later dismissed, following three days of jury deliberation.
Britney Spears was accused of driving without a license in California in August 2007.
Her defense stated that she carried a Louisiana license since that is her real home.
